Fourth Grade
Mrs. Blair

Welcome to fourth grade at Eberwhite Elementary! I am looking forward to an exciting school year with you and your child.
Although, this is my seventh year at Eberwhite I’m not new to Ann Arbor Public Schools. I previously taught at Pattengill Elementary for fifteen years and before then I taught in Chicago Public Schools for 2 years. My husband Eugene and I have two wonderful daughters Nia and Imani. Nia is a graduate of Tennessee State University and she works with MLC in Nashville, TN. Imani is a Senior at Tennessee State University and she is a Tiger Belle (collegiate track runner). Yes, we are empty nesters! It’s such an exciting time for my family!
Fourth grade is a time of new beginnings, making friends, and learning lots of new things each and everyday. Our days will be filled with many wonderful experiences and opportunities for learning and growing.
My goal is to create a caring and stimulating learning environment that encourages all children to learn. I have high expectations for my students and believe that every child can learn and succeed.
Thank you for entrusting your child to me. I promise to do my best everyday to be your child’s companion in learning.
This will be an exciting year!

Hello 4th Grade Families! I am thrilled to be your child’s teacher this year!
I moved to Ann Arbor from Colorado in 2021 and am so thankful that I found my way to Eberwhite. I love exploring Michigan with my partner Aaron and our dogs Zooey and Obi. When I am not in the classroom, I love practicing and performing on aerial sling, playing board games, and going to my favorite coffee shops and restaurants around town.
I have been an educator for 11 years and a classroom teacher for eight. I hold a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from the University of Northern Colorado. I am currently working towards a Master’s degree in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages through WMU.
I enjoy building learning communities that value curiosity and collaboration while emphasizing social emotional learning and meaningful technology integration.

Dear Families,
Welcome to 4th grade at Eberwhite!! My name is Maggie Teall, and I am so excited to spend this school year as your child’s 4th grade teacher! This will be my fourth year at Eberwhite, but I’ve been teaching for over twenty years, including six years
at Lawton. I have also taught in Brighton Area Schools, at Cranbrook’s Brookside School, and at Marist Brothers International School in Kobe, Japan. I love working with this age group, and I am so excited to get to know your children!
I am an AAPS parent in addition to an AAPS teacher. My daughter Charlotte will be 7th grader at Slauson, and my children Lila and Graham are entering 9th and 11th grades at Pioneer. I’m originally from Holland, Michigan. I earned my bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and English Literature at North Central College in Naperville, Illinois, and my master’s degree in Children’s Literature (with an emphasis in writing for kids) at Hollins University in Roanoke, Virginia. This summer, I completed a second master’s degree in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) at WMU. I spent five years teaching in Japan. I have a background in theatre and creative writing, both of which I use in my teaching. My favorite part of the school day is read aloud.
We have a fabulous U of M student teacher joining us this year as well. Welcome, Ms. Wise!
We are going to have a great year!
