Hello! My name is Stacey Hatfield. I'm thrilled to be your child's first grade teacher! I'm extremely passionate about teaching young children. I'm really looking forward to a year of learning, fun, friendship, and adventures. Together we are going to learn and grow.

Here is a little bit about me. I live in Dexter with my wonderful husband Mike and our three amazing children Hadley (17), Eden (14), Cole (12), and our sweet labrador, Blu. We have a ton of fun together. I love them so much!

Being a teacher has been a lifelong dream of mine. I have a lot of experience working with children. I was a guest teacher for over ten years and I taught pre-kindergarten. This is my seventh year as a first grade teacher at Eberwhite. I graduated from Madonna University in 2003. I received a Bachelor of Arts in English with a minor in Elementary Education. In addition, I received an Early Childhood Education endorsement (ZA). In 2009, I received a Master of Arts in Teaching - Literacy Education from Madonna University. I am a lifelong learner. I love to learn!

My name is Kendra Konigsberg, formerly Sloan, and I am thrilled to be starting my third year teaching first grade at Eberwhite! This past summer was especially exciting for me, as I married my best friend, Sam, and we are enjoying this new chapter in our lives.

A little about my background: I grew up in Ann Arbor and attended Ann Arbor Public Schools. I graduated from Northern Michigan University in December 2021 with a bachelor's degree in elementary education. Last year, alongside teaching, I pursued my master's degree in reading education from Arkansas State University's global campus, and I am proud to share that I graduated this past May! I can’t wait to implement my new knowledge in the classroom this year!

Teaching has always been a passion of mine, and I’m truly excited to get to share that passion with your child. I look forward to an amazing year of growth, learning, and fun! You can contact me at sloanke@aaps.k12.mi.us. Since getting married earlier this month, I have began the legal name change process. Once my name is officially changed, my email address will be updated. I will let you all know when this happens. See you real soon!
